balloon and tray science experiment

Today we did an experiment to see what would happen if we drop a balloon and tray at the same time. First we dropped them at the same time separately. The tray fell quicker. then we dropped them at the same time but the balloon on top of the tray. When we did that they fell at the same time. I think the reason for this is the tray sucked the ballon in with it.
